AAHM Internal Careers Service

We provide career development services for our students. Many of our current students and graduates are employed in local hotels, resorts, casinos and restaurants.

We assist our students in counseling, creating a 'killing' résumé and interviewing skills in order to be employed and successful in the industry.

We have a very strong network with the local hospitality industry, for example with Sheraton Hotel and Burswood Resort Casino. Most of the local hotels, resorts and restaurants do not advertise in the newspapers. They directly contact AAHM to inform our students of job vacancies.

AAHM students are required to contact our Career Development Manager for updated information on job availability in the industry.

Where to look?

Jobs can be found from many sources:

1. Word of mouth from friends and colleagues.
2. Local area newspapers, a detailed listing of those online. Check your letterbox or newsagent for the free delivery newspaper.
3. Daily newspaper for example The West Online.
4. Knocking on the door of a business and asking about vacancies.
5. Checking the websites of hotels, restaurants and other organisations for employment opportunities. Refer to the Links page for a selection of sites.
6. Check the News & Events on this site.

How should I prepare? - The three P's

What should I be paid?
